How we make our packaging plastic-free
9 July 2026 · 5 min read
Every order that leaves our studio is wrapped by hand, and none of it contains plastic. Here’s how the little parcel comes together.
The outside
Orders ship in recycled kraft mailers or rigid board boxes for the fragile bits. Both are widely recyclable and, increasingly, made from post-consumer waste.
We seal with paper tape — the kind you wet, like a stamp — printed with a single botanical in soy ink.
The inside
Tissue is unbleached and FSC-certified; the ‘crinkle’ that protects your order is shredded, recycled paper we make from our own offcuts.
Even the little thank-you card is printed on the same recycled stock as our notebooks — no lamination, so it recycles cleanly.
The honest bit
Plastic-free isn’t always the cheapest or easiest path, and we’re still improving. But opening a parcel shouldn’t cost the earth, and we’d rather get that part right.
